Konongo Odumasi-Ghana is today, July 1, 2025 observing the maiden National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving service in Asante Akim Central Municipality was held at the Konongo Methodist Church at 8:30AM prompt in Konongo.

The maiden edition is under the theme “Reset, Reflect and Renew for National Prosperity”. -"GHANA RISES IN UNITY & FAITH!". A nation on its knees... rises stronger than ever!. Asante Akim Central leads a spiritual awakening!

The Christian Prayer and Thanksgiving Service took place in the morning at the Konongo Methodist Church. The Islamic Prayer and Thanksgiving Service was conducted at 12:30 p.m. by the Konongo Chief Imam, at the Konongo Central Mosque, Konongo.

The National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving was instituted by President John Dramani Mahama in fulfilment of his campaign promise. The day serves as a moment for Ghanaians of all faiths to come together in unity and express gratitude to God for the nation’s abundant blessings.

This is a day observed From the halls of power to the heart of our communities, Ghana answered the divine call – not as political parties, but as ONE PEOPLE!
