The Hon, Regional Minister in Collaboration with major Stakeholders in the Ashanti Region have introduced the celebration of Ashanti Festival (Ashantifest, 2025) during the Easter Festivity which start from Saturday 12th April, 2025 to Saturday 26th April, 2025.

As per the programme outline and activities to be carried out during the period, Saturday 12th April, 2025 has been embarked for General clean-up Exercise in all towns and municipalities in the Region. This is to help create awareness and encourage community participation in environmental sanitation activities.

In view of this, the Assembly as part of efforts to implement this directives is collaborating with Major Stakeholders like Nananom, the Security Agencies, Departments of the Assembly, Driver Unions, Market Women and among others to undertake a clean-up exercise at Konongo Ward 6, the Main Station and various Markets and Konongo and Odumasi on the said date from 6am to 10am.

We therefore entreat all stakeholders to actively participate in this clean-up exercise and make it a success, while we prepare to celebrate the Easter Festivity, and launch the National Sanitation Day Programme on the 14th May, 2025.
