The Asante Akim Central Municipal Assembly held a significant sanitation and clean-up exercise on Saturday, November 8, 2025.

The exercise was part of the regular "Sanitation Day" initiatives led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Dr. Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, and local leaders (Nananom). It involved community members, government institutions, and waste management partners like Zoomlion, focusing on general sanitation, clearing drains, and promoting a culture of cleanliness.

The initiative aligns with the national focus on making sanitation a key performance indicator for municipal assemblies and ensuring a cleaner environment for public health and development. Shop owners, residents, and road users have been warned to adhere to proper waste disposal practices to support these efforts.
