The Asante Akim Central observed the 69th Independence Day Anniversary on 6th March, 2026 at the Konongo-Odumasi Senior High School(KOSS) school Park.
Th MCE for the Asante Akim Central, Hon. Dr. Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo addressed the occasion stating that it was an honor and privilege to lead the 69th Independence Day Celebration for Asante Akyem Central, that together with our Member of Parliament, Hon. Kwame Anyimadu Antwi.
He mentioned that he is delighted to share this important national moment with the former MCEs Hon. Braimah Buyong and Hon. Robert Yaw Kwakye, our revered Nananom, party executives led by Chairman 24, the Education Director Mr. Sarfo Kantanka, Leaders from the Islamic and Christians community, members of the media, assembly members, assembly staff, market women, and the hardworking staff and students from our various schools who all came out to support and celebrate this memorable day.
He said he is truly overwhelmed with joy and pride to be a citizen of this great nation. He added that Ghana has come a long way since gaining independence in 1957, and our journey of growth, unity, and development continues.
He stated that as part of the celebration, they took the opportunity to recognize and award hardworking teachers and students who have made significant contributions to the development of our education system. He said that their dedication and commitment will continue to inspire the future of our district and our country.
He extended his sincere appreciation to the individuals and companies who supported the awards scheme through generous donations and prizes. Special appreciation went to Mr. Frimpong, CEO of Ofrimpak Group of Companies; Mr. Sulemana and Alhassan of M Enterprise; New Age Agro Chemical; Evernew Drinking Water; Mr. Kaseem Adams of Barika Group of Companies; Chairman 24; Hon.
